Security Service of PRAVEX-BANK Prevented Fraudulent Attempt
OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2009. Security service of PRAVEX-BANK discovered a certain web site registered in Great Britain which had been created with the purpose to perform fraudulent operations, reported the press-centre of PRAVEX-BANK.
The malefactors were sending e-mails to Ukrainians among which there were both the clients of our bank and the clients of other banks.
E-mails contained information that client's card was supposedly blocked and the clients were asked to use a link and go to fraudulent site, and afterwards enter the Number and PIN code of the card in order to unlock it. Security Service of PRAVEX-BANK promptly took appropriate measures and fraudulent site was closed.
e would ask you to be especially vigilant and careful and not disclose PIN of your payment card — do not communicate it to strangers nor enter its number at any web sites.
