OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 February 2009 was announced, that TGC-1 increased electricity generation on its power plants in 2008 to 26 887.8 mln kWh (+3.2% to 2007). Heat output for the 12 months of 2008 amounted to 26 925.7 mln kWh, which is 1.5% than in 2007 due to higher temperatures.

TGC-1 sold in 2008 a total of 27 295.3 mln kWh of electricity on the wholesale market, of which 8 368.7 mln kWh - on the day-ahead market, 1 191.4 mln kWh – on balancing market, and 17 735.1 mln kWh were sold under bilateral regulated contracts.

In 2009 figures of Company’s installed capacity have marginally changed. Due to the remarking of one of the turbine on Serebryanskaya HPP total Company’s installed electric capacity decreased 0.05% to 6,275.45 MW (6,278.4 MW in 2008). Also, as a result of decommissioning of boilers on Pravoberezhnaya CHP and Pervomayskaya CHP installed heat capacity reduced by 1.4% to 14,548 GCal (14,754 GCal in 2008).
