OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2009. Eesti Pank prepared a flash report on the impact of the rapid global economic changes on Estonia's economy, reported the press-centre of Eesti Pank.

In the wake of the intensification of the financial crisis last autumn the global economic outlook has markedly deteriorated. Each week brings along new developments and this necessitated an estimate to Estonia's economy under the changing conditions.

The flash report is broadly in line with the risk scenario of Eesti Pank's autumn forecast. However, taking into account that the economic growth of Estonia's main trading partners has slowed more than expected, the current estimate assumes the country's economic growth will turn out smaller than anticipated in the autumn forecast.

Eesti Pank's official economic policy statement and economic forecast will be presented at a press conference on 17 February.
