Moscow Will Hold Tender for 250-Room Hotel
OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 February 2009 was announced, that City Hall is to hold a tender for the right to conclude a contract of leasing the plot allocated for building a 250-room hotel on 37-41 Stavropolskaya Street, southeast Moscow.
“A winner of the tender is planned to get the 0.897ha plot for developing the hotel with the area of 22,100 sq m on it,” a source from City Hall said.
According to the official, the new hotel is estimated to comprise roughly 250 rooms, however, the concrete number and types of them will be determined in the hotel design later.
“The opening bid of the tender will be 288.244 million roubles (~USD 8 million), the bid increment will be 3.5 million roubles (~USD 97,200). Companies are to grant the advance of 58 million roubles (~USD 1.6 million) to enter the tender,” the source added.
The winner will have to implement the project aimed at developing the hotel in 8 quarters after the leasing contract is concluded.
Besides, the investor will have to refund 2.037 million roubles (~USD 56,580) to the city of Moscow that has developed the bid and preconstruction documentation for the hotel and to pay the hotel connection to the networks of JSC City Company for Electric Grids of Moscow with no subsequent compensation from the city budget funds.
The city committee to hold the tender will be formed and engaged in selecting investors to implement the hotel project. It will involve the representatives of Moskomarkhitektura (Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development), Department of Urban Design Policy, Development and Reconstruction, Department for Land Resources, Department for Property, Department of Economic Policy and Urban Development, Department for Nature Management and Environmental Protection as well as other functional, branch-wise and territorial bodies of Moscow.
