OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 February 2009 was announced, that according to December 2008 results passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 422 754 people, which is 4,8% less than it was in December 2007, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to foreign countries in December 2008 had a total enrolment of 171 591 people, which is 4,4% more than the number of passengers carried in December 2007.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 210 253 people, which is 14,0% less than in December 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS increased by 15,2% and had a total enrolment of 40 910 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations decreased by 12,0% in December 2008 and had a total enrolment of 6 366 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 235 871 tons, the increase is 0,1% as compared with December 2007.

The twelve months results of 2008

According to the twelve months of 2008 results passenger traffic of Pulkovo Airport had a total enrolment of 7 070 000 people, which is 15,2% more than the activities of the twelve months of 2007, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries for the twelve months in 2008 had a total enrolment of 3 242 368 people, which is 11,4% more than the number of passengers, carried during the twelve months in 2007.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 3 261 195 people, which is 13,3% more than during the twelve months in 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS increased by 63,5% and had a total enrolment of 567 137 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 8,2% during the twelve months in 2008 and had a total enrolment of 94 045 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 3 373 thousand tons, the increase is 10,9% as compared with the twelve months in 2007.
