OREANDA-NEWS. February 9, 2009. 7 GLONASS/GPS reference stations have been accepted by the State Property Department.
The stations located in Kirovskaya region operate now in test mode. Computer center acquires the signal and processes the data from the satellites, thus providing the opportunity to define position of land parcels and other real-estate objects. The information obtained is used in geodesic, mapping and cadastral activities.

Thus, potential of the satellite space navigation is applied for socio- economical development of the region.
