OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2009. Regarding the information covered in Internet-editions about involvement of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine in illegal alienation of public property,  press office of the Ministry stated that Ministry of Industrial Policy is guided in its activity by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, decrees of the President of Ukraine, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, passed in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Provisions on its activity, performs the duties of an implementer of the public industrial policy and also works at elaboration of the proposals on improving the mechanism of public regulation of the industrial sector of economy functioning.

We particularly stress that according to the mentioned acts, the Ministry of Industrial Policy does not hold privatization of public enterprises. The majority of enterprises, which are under public administration of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, are strategically important for the economy of our state and refer to the defense-industrial complex and registered such as prohibited for privatization.

In case of approving a Governmental decision on privatization of dependent on the Ministry of Industrial Policy enterprises, they are primary submitted to the sphere of administration of the State Property Fund, which directly holds procedures of their privatization.
