OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2009. On January results of 2009 Wizz Air Ukraine company has come to the third place in the quantity of conveyed passengers of the Boryspil airport.

The first Ukrainian low-cost air-company has performed conveyance of around 21 thousand passengers. Taking into account that the company possesses only two planes, the showing appears rather high which proves high effectiveness of use of airships by the company.

“The results demonstrate we move in the right direction. It gives us hope that, despite the complicated crisis time Ukraine will manage not to lose amounts of conveyance this year,” Deputy Transport and Communications Minister, Head of State Aviation Administration Olexandr Davydov stressed.

For the first 6 months of activity Wizz Air Ukraine has opened a base in international Boryspil airport, launched 9 dmestic and international flights and conveyed around 130000 passengers.
