OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 February 2009 was announced, that Astana akim Imangali Tasmagambetov says that the construction of the energy ring around the capital is a “vital” project.

“The head of the state has already approved the project of constructing the double-chain ring with the capacity of 220 kW and the length of 170 km with three master substations”, informed I. Tasmagambetov.

At the report meeting I. Tasmagambetov said that “today the deficit of the energy is 100 mW, heat – 224 Gcal”. “Till the “acme” we have only two years”, he remarked. To increase the energy capacities till 2011 the capital needs 258.9 billion tenge.

During 10 years Astana population increased up to 700 thousand people. Annual volume of the GRP increased up to 600 billion tenge. The annual budget increased up to 270 billion tenge.
