OREANDA-NEWS. February 6, 2009. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and OJSC INTER RAO EES signed a Credit Agreement worth 3.7 billion rubles.

Funds are being made available to finance the project to construct the second stage of the Sochi Thermoelectric Power Station for a period of 10 years. The Sochi Thermoelectric Power Station Extension Project is being implemented in the course of preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

The Sochi Thermoelectric Power Station is a branch of OJSC INTER RAO EES. The Thermoelectric Power Station is of federal significance. In December 2004, two steam and gas power units of power capacity of 78 MW were commissioned.
