OREANDA-NEWS. February 5, 2009. The leading Azerbaijan’s telecommunications operator Delta Telecom is trying to solve the problem of transporting the information content from foreign countries.

The company informed that the most of Azerbaijani resources are located abroad that creates additional problems.

“We were trying to solve the problem before. We have provided each internet supplier with a free 100 MB access for local exchange. They gave us the platform hosting and placed there all the national contents. But the problems still exist. Therefore we are planning on further investment by end-2009 in order to solve the problems,” the company informed.

Delta Telecom is the leading telecom operator in the Caucasus region. Delta telecom owns the largest Internet backbone network in the region. The backbone network’s platform is based modern technologies provides professional IP backbone services to all ISPs of Azerbaijan and more than 78% of Georgia.
