OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 February 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh paid over RUB 0.7 mln to Agroperspektiva based in Alekseevka settlement of Alekseevsky district, Samara region. The subject of insurance was winter rye crop of Bezenchukskaya 87 variety and Mironovskaya 808 winter wheat on the total area of 486 hectares insured in August 2007 by the branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Samara.  The contract was signed with the state support.

The crop was insured against storm, hail, frost, freezing, drought, earthquake, excessive watering, downpour, unusual weather conditions, high water and flood. The insured amount is RUB 1.3 mln.

The insured event was drought that spread across the whole territory of the district and caused total loss of wheat crop and of two thirds of rye crop. The inspection confirmed that this was an insured accident, and in January 2009 Ingosstrakh paid compensation to the farm.

The beneficiary under the contract is the Russian Agricultural Bank in Samara, since the crop was insured within the framework of collateral insurance program.

Ingosstrakh IJSC started to work with Agroperspektiva in 2007. Insurance contracts were signed for agricultural equipment and future crop of wheat, barley, oats, millet, garbanzo, buckwheat, sunflowers.
