Moscow City Hall Approved Khamovniki Development Plan
OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 February 2009 was announced, that City Hall approved a design of neighbourhood 473 located within Khamovniki township in the centre of Moscow where more than 164,000 sq m of new housing are to be built and 13,700 sq m of living area are to be overhauled.
“Besides the overhaul and new housing development, it is planned to demolish 126,000 sq m of non-residential premises, to erect a building for the Khamovniki municipal court and a new educational facility for Moscow State Academy of High Chemical Technology named after Lomonosov,” a source from City Hall said.
According to the official, the car parks with the total capacity of over 4,000 parking places will be erected, around 4,000 sq m of roads will be built and 7,000 sq m of roads will be reconstructed.
The official noted the area design had undergone the examination and public hearings. The design will be the base for elaborating the subsequent stages of development, including the land surveying, the urban development plans of plots, the construction documents for linear objects, the development of transport and civil engineering infrastructures, the projects of improving areas taking into account the interests of the existent land owners.
