OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2009. The regular flights from Saint Petersburg of Russia to Ferghana Province of Uzbekistan were launched.

The super-liner A320 “Airbus Industry” of the “Russia” State Transport Company accomplishes flights on Thursdays.

The launching of the new air route between the Uzbek agro-industrial region and the northern capital of the Russian Federation has been possible thanks to successful bilateral negotiations.

At the moment, the regular flights are being accomplished to Moscow, Kazan, Urumchi and Nukus from the renewed airport of Ferghana. The broad technical opportunities available to the airport will allow in 2009 to launch the air routes to Omsk and other cities.
