OREANDA-NEWS. On February 03, 2009 The national operator of mail service – Ukrainian state enterprise the Ukrpost celebrates its 15-th anniversary.

Ukrpost has over 100 thousand employees (46 out of them are postmen) who annually process and deliver to addressees over 600 million of mail. The enterprise’s network embraces over 15 thousand of post offices with about 10 thousand in village area. Direct delivery of mail is conducted to 15 million post boxes and to every family in the rural area.

According to General Director of Ukrpost Taisiya Zamkova, over this period the enterprise has made confident steps on the way of reforming and improvement of working process, broad application of information-communication technologies. This enabled the Ukrpost to improve assortment of postal services, to compete with dignity on the postal market of the country. During 2008 Ukrpost’s profits have grown by 32.6%, with net profit – by 81.3%.  

On occasion of the anniversary franking of non-marked, produced to the anniversary envelope with a special postal stamp took place and festive events held, where the Minister of Transport and Communications and General Director of Ukrpost rewarded best workers of the enterprise.
