OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 February 2009 was announced, that on January 24, 2009, the opening ceremony of the Accounting Center for Small and Medium Enterprises took place.

The event organizers were: the Ministry of Economy of RA, the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Armenia.

The Armenian Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsyan, members of the ROA Government and National Assembly, business-unions, associations and representatives of sate bodies attended the opening ceremony.

The establishment of the Accounting Center is a result of the joint efforts and teamwork of the Ministry of Economy and the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Armenia.

The Accounting Centre is aimed at providing of different services for SMEs: assistance for keeping of accounts, preparation of tax audits, exercising of complete audit, developing of operations related to tax services, protection of their own rights, and other issues.

The Accounting Centre's  business service provider organizations must offer affordable services for SMEs and also organize the accounting training courses for SMEs’ personnel. The main purpose of the Centre - is to provide for affordable and qualified services to SME bodies and, by educating the personnel through training courses, help them to work independently.

4. Protection of rights in court

5. Other issues related to taxation
