OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 February 2009 was announced, that as part of the actions taken to counter insurance fraud, the Information Analysis and Protection Department of Ingosstrakh IJSC prevented unjustified payment of RUB 2 244 100.

On October 1, 2008, Gorbunov V.M. turned to the Sokolniki Department of Internal Affairs to report theft of his BMW 530 insured with Ingosstrakh IJSC.

The undertaken research proved that Gorbunov was going to commit a fraud in order to get insurance compensation. The car was found and is currently parked in the secured lot of the Department of Internal Affairs. The criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 159 part 4 of the Criminal Code of Russia. Gorbunov was released against recognizance not to leave town. Currently, the Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow is investigating the case.
