OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 February 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh paid insurance compensation under the liability insurance contract with a forwarder – Dialogue Freight International – for damage caused during provisioning of freight forwarding services to the amount of about RUB 1.8 mln.

In spring 2008 insured company Dialogue Freight International informed Ingosstrakh IJSC that during loading of freight – track loader Sennebogen 821 R-HD – on a rail platform for further transportation, the strap broke and the freight fell down.

To protect the interests of the insured person and to identify the nature, reasons and amount of damage, Ingosstrakh hired independent surveyor company Lars Krogius Baltik. The inspection of the sight and of the freight detected damage to the cabin, loop eye, rig and counter balance of the track loader, and identified the reasons for the damage and the amount of the damage. The freight owner brought a claim against the forwarder, Dialogue Freight International, as a party responsible under the freight forwarding contract for damage to the freight to the amount of the cost of renovation of the track loader.

Ingosstrakh paid insurance compensation of about RUB 1.8 mln to the account of the freight owner and, by doing this, compensated the damage caused by the insured person during provisioning of freight forwarding services.
