In 2008 Parallel Company, a big retail petroleum product operator in the Eastern Region, paid UAH 25.5m taxes of all kinds which is UAH 12.8m or 102% more compared to 2007. Excise tax rose by 56% and allocations to the Pension Fund rose by 30% year-on-year. In 2008 excise tax made 54% of the overall tax payments; this is the biggest share of the tax inflows, reported the press-centre of Parallel Company.

Average salary of the Company's employees rose by 60% in 2008 year-on-year and made UAH 3.452 per month. In the second half of 2008 Corporate Loyalty Foundation began to operate in Parallel. It provided material assistance to employees for the amount more than UAH 35.000. In addition, new staff are trained and then they keep taking advance courses conducted at the Company's expense.

Transparent relations between business structures and the state create favourable environment for the development of the country's economy. "Successful development of the company depends on working environment and moral state of employees. Thanks to orderly management, in 2008 the Company managed to grow qualitatively and quantitatively; this is proved by the volumes of allocations to the budget. In 2008 Parallel Company provided wide support to cultural, sports, and scientific events and projects. In February 2008 the Company was a fuel partner of XIX International Athletics Tournament "ZEPTER – pole stars". Active cooperation with the International Student and Young Specialist Association from AIESEC in the area of economy and management enabled the Company to create personnel reserve and helped young specialists gain experience and improve level of knowledge.
