OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 February 2009 was announced, that Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk) within the framework of realization of the program of modernization of the ground equipment has filled up fleet of upon vehicle.

In January Tolmachevo International Airport received two multipurpose snow cutters VAMMAS SB 4500 (Finland). This vehicle is developed for service of runways and taxiway at the airports in winter time.

The unit combines functions both of plough and sweeper clearing and air-blowing that provides quality preparation of airdrome pavement for landing and take-off of aircrafts.

Unique function of "cold blow" allows to use vehicle during spring-summer navigation. The same units are applied at the largest airports of Russia and the Europe.

To commissioning of RWY-2 in 2009 Tolmachevo airport will have four multipurpose snow cutters VAMMAS SB 4500 with VOLVO gears. Total cost of investments will exceed 100 million rubles.
