OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2009. The EBRD has reduced the forecast of economic growth for Moldova by 2,4 points as compared with the last forecast, as of November 2008.

As it is stated in the EBRD report, now Eurobank expects that in the current year GDP of Moldova will increase by only 1.7%.

It should be noted that in 2009 the GDP growth is predicted at the level of 3,5-4%. It is projected that the inflation rate in Moldova this year will make 8,.6%. GDP growth in Moldova in 2008 amounts to 6,5%, and the inflation rate -to 7.3%, respectively.
