OREANDA-NEWS. On January 26, 2009 Pursuant to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On issues concerning the organization of the activity of Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan" No. 180 of 17 May 1996, the Academy launched the three-month course on "Improving the qualifications of the management of banking, finance and tax agencies."

Seven members of staff of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, seven officials of the State Tax Committee and seven officers of commercial banks, among them Pakhta Bank, MicroCredit Bank, People's Bank and Galla Bank attend the course in the 2008-2009 academic year, according to the Banking Association of Uzbekistan.

Over the course of their study, participants attend lectures and seminar sessions on the topical issues concerning banking, finance and tax business, take internship in the banking and finance institutions, and conduct practical sessions in different organizations of Uzbekistan.
