EuroChem Obtained Certificate of Kosherity for Acetic Acid
OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 February 2009 was announced, that the certificate serve a guarantee of irreproachable quality, ecological purity and usefulness of the product which shall in accordance with basics of the system for kosher nutrition (“kosher” means in Hebrew “pure, allowed”) fully harmonize with the human’s organism. In addition, the certificate of kosherity is recognized by Israeli and many Western partners opening new sales markets for EuroChem abroad.
The delegation of the Department of koshroute visited OJSC “Nevinnomyssky Azot”, they familiarized themselves with operation of the enterprises and carried out careful investigation thereof as to compliance with kashroute requirements: analysis covered raw materials delivered to the factory, production technology, terms of shipment of products. As a result of the executed expertise products were recognized kosher for all days of the year except for the holiday Easter which was personally confirmed by the chief rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar.
Food acetic acid (GOST 19814-74) is produced from synthetic acetic acid by means of purification thereof and dilution by distilled water. Food acetic acid is used in food industry (production of acetic acid, preserves, mayonnaise, mustard, horse radish etc.), in agriculture and is supplied to retail trade for use for food and household purposes.
The subsidiary of EuroChem OJSC “Nevinnomyssky Azot” is the sole in Russia producer of food acetic acid, in 2008 it produced 111 thousand tons of these products.
