OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2009. Rosneft President Sergey Bogdanchikov paid a visit to the Krasnodar territory, reported the press-centre of Rosneft.

In the city of Krasnodar, Mr Bogdanchikov held a meeting with the territory’s Governor Alexander Tkachev where the parties discussed prospects of cooperation, particularly in implementing the Sochi-2014 project.

Later the same day, Sergey Bogdanchikov reviewed progress of construction of RN-Krasnodarneftegaz’ new headquarters, and held a series of discussions with the management of Rosneft subsidiaries RN-Krasnodarneftegaz, Rosneft–Kubannefteprodukt, and Rosneft-NTTS, which were dedicated to the companies’ performance in 2008 and plans for this year. Another meeting, concerning Rosneft’s shelf development projects in Southern Russia, closed Mr Bogdanchikov’s visit to Krasnodar.

On the next day, Rosneft President arrived in Anapa where he visited the Neftyanik Kubani health resort, which is currently undergoing a comprehensive upgrade.

In Tuapse, Sergey Bogdanchikov took part in the launch of construction of the ELOU AVT-12 crude distillation unit and in the commissioning of a liquefied petroleum gas tank farm.

Once ELOU AVT-12 is commissioned, Tuapse Refinery will accomplish its major objective of bringing refining capacity to 12 mln tonnes a year. “I have every confidence that, notwithstanding the global financial turmoil, we will be able to implement such construction projects on time and within agreed budgets,” Mr Bogdanchikov stressed.

The new liquefied petroleum gas tank farm will enable Tuapse Refinery to significantly increase its capacities for storing and transshipping liquefied butane and propane-butane. In fact, this marks the beginning of construction of a new integrated refining complex.

Tuapse Refinery modernization and upgrade was also widely discussed at management meetings in Tuapse chaired by Rosneft President. The participants also dwelt on Tuapse Refinery and RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt’s performance in 2008 and plans for 2009. Implementing a comprehensive upgrade program at RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt was another key topic at the meetings.

During his stay in Tuapse, Sergey Bogdanchikov was also interviewed by local media.
