OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2009. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Executive Advisor to the CEO of Siemens AG Mr. Rudi Lamprecht.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest expressed the company’s keen interest in intensifying cooperation with Turkmenistan as an exceptionally responsible and very promising partner.

Cordially greeting the representative of Siemens AG Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated cooperation with this world-renowned German company acting nowadays as one of Turkmenistan’s long-term partners. Noting that implementing the strategy of large-scale social and economic reforms Turkmenistan relied on application of scientific and technical advances in industry the Turkmen leader called for further intensifying business mutually advantageous contacts with Siemens AG which had the remarkable accomplishments in this field.


During the meeting Mr. Rudi Lamprecht informed the Turkmen leader of the fulfillment of the instructions and made presentations on Siemens’s activity in the spheres of telecommunications, energy and construction materials industry in Turkmenistan for the past six months.

Exchanging views on the priority aspects of cooperation, in particular the progress of the joint health care and communication projects, the sides called to successfully maintain it.

In conclusion Mr. Rudi Lamprecht said that nowadays the interest in Turkmenistan was high like never before. In the Federal Republic of Germany this interest had been considerably increased after President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid the official visit to Germany which was widely covered by Germany’s mass media. The guest said that today the authoritative newspapers and journals in Germany, in particular Spiegel and others, paid special attention to Turkmenistan particularly due to its status of one of the world’s energy producers and policy of wide international cooperation.
