OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2009. Aleksandr Chekh – Deputy Director of Metal Forming Department, Deputy Production Manager of the forge plant of OAO KAMAZ-Metallurgy – became the laureate of the fourth contest “50 best innovative ideas of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

Over 800 projects were submitted for consideration of the jury. KAMAZ Inc. sent six works for the competition three of which were from the workers of the forge plant. The innovators of the KAMAZ forge participated in this competition for the third time; they received a prize for one of “the best ideas” in the automotive industry already in 2006.

Aleksandr Chekh prepared the project “Implementation of a new fabrication technique of irregular shape forgings” for his first participation in such a large-scale competition. The work was acknowledged the best and awarded the first place in the nomination “Start-1”.
