Highest Birth Rate is Observed in Tersky Area of Murmansk Region
OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 January 2009 was announced, that in Murmansk area on a tentative estimation the population on the beginning of this year has made 842,3 thousand persons and has decreased for 8,6 thousand persons or for 1 percent. Still on decrease in a population of region the basic influence was rendered by a migratory decrease. Nevertheless, some positive moments were here again designated, in particular, growth of number of citizens of advanced ages leaving area, informs the Ministry of economic development of Murmansk area. The natural decrease has decreased to 1,1 thousand persons or for 10 percent that is caused by birth rate growth (factor of a natural decrease on 1000 population has made 1,2 persons). On preliminary data, in 2008 in area was born on 284 children more than in 2007. Birth rate growth has made 3,2 percent. The birth rate factor has increased with 10,3 born on 1000 population in 2007 to 10,8 - in 2008. The number of births of second and following children has increased. So, in 2006-2007 the share of second and subsequent children in the general number of births made 40 and 42,4 percent accordingly, in 2008 - 45,8 percent. The increase in factor of birth rate is noted in 13 of 19 cities and area areas. The highest indicators in Tersky, Pechengsky (11,4) and Kovdorsky (11,4) areas, in the majority BUT, cities Polar Dawns and Kirovsk (11,4).
