OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 January 2009 was announced, that Zaporizhia Ferroalloys (PFTS: ZFER) plans that its average capacities utilization in 2009 will be 75-80%, which is 30-35 thousand tonnes of products a month.

However, in the first quarter of 2009, the company expects that only 10 in 31 of its melting furnaces will be used (20-22% of its production capacities).

In 2009, the company is going to focus more on the domestic market.

We would like to remind the reader that in 2008 the company output cut its ferroalloys output as against 2007 by 21.38% – to 386.2 thousand tonnes.
