OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 January 2009 was announced, that Turboatom (PFTS: TATM) signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Japan) on organization of joint production of 600 MW steam turbines with ultrasupercritical parameters. The companies plan to sign a joint production contract in 2009.

The signed agreement defined the procedure of Turboatom preparation for this product mastering and subsequent turbines production for heat power stations located in CIS countries.

We must say that this product is absolutely new for Turboatom.

The agreement provides for transfer of the turbines production technology from the Japanese company to Turboatom, while modernization will be carried out for account of the latter.
