OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 January 2009 was announced, that Tarasa Shevchenko Embankment located in west Moscow is to be repaired, a source from City Hall said.

“First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov has signed the decree approving a draft design of the embankment,” the official noted.

It is stipulated by the design to restore the granite revetment where it is buckled or absent and the piers around the bridge.

“It is also planned to restore the revetment of the moorage slopes, quay stairs and footpaces as well as to repair the dilatation joints,” the source added.
