Govt Allocates UAH 37 m for Transition of Shostka to Alternative Fuel
OREANDA-NEWS. On January 29, 2009 The Cabinet of Ministers has earmarked UAH 37 million for reconstruction of a system of heat supplies of Shostka town, Sumy region.
The funds will be allotted from the state budget at the account of subventions, envisaged for the social economic development of regions. A respective ordinance was approved on January 29 during a special sitting of the Government, dedicated to realization of investment projects in Sumy region.
Reconstruction of a system of heat supplies of Shostka envisages transition of water heating and steam boilers to alternative kinds of fuel. This will enable to replace natural gas used for heating with alternative kinds of fuel and will give an opportunity to significantly economize. This pilot project is planned to apply to the whole country.
