VivaCell-MTS Announces Results for Year 2008 and Plans for 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2009. VivaCell-MTS held a press conference at Armenia-Marriott Hotel presided by the Company General Manager Ralph Yirikian and Vice President, Director of Business Unit ‘MTS Foreign Subsidiaries’, Oleg Raspopov, to highlight the Company’s major accomplishments in 2008 and its plans for 2009.
Armenia’s leading mobile operator maintained well its position in 2008, which was marked by a significant market share that reached more than 78% with over 2 million subscribers. The Company extensively increased the number of products and services and registered higher volumes of sales. VivaCell-MTS became much closer to its customers with its 95 service centers across the country including 2 flagships offering 24/7 operation in Yerevan.
In 2009, a challenging year, the Company is ready for the endeavor with all the support of the MTS Headquarters. “VivaCell-MTS is a success model for healthy operations, and will proceed on being as such. The Company delivers top performance and excellent results. Even more competitive services will be offered to the Armenian market in year 2009 with the launch of 3G network. In all our markets, we’re focused on expanding our leading positions with new products and services and through continued massive investments in innovation", said Oleg Raspopov.
