OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2009. 20.96% of shipbuilding plant Severnaya Verf has been transferred to authorized capital of Northern Center of Shipbuilding OJSC by Federal Property Management Agency (RosImushchestvo), the shipyard reports.

Northern Center of Shipbuilding OJSC is a subholding of the United Shipbuilding Corporation established by the order No 394 of RF President on 21 March 2007. Shipbuilding plant Severnaya Verf OJSC was founded in 1912. It is one of the largest shipbuilding companies in Russia. Major shareholder of the company is United Industrial Corporation CJSC (72.19%). The yard builds and repairs difficult Navy ships and commercial vessels.
