Krinitsa Brewery Reports 2008 Beer Output Decrease
OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 January 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ OAO Krinitsa, the largest brewery of the country, produced 13.577 million decaliters of beer in 2008, down 6.4% from the 2007 level, a representative in food concern Belgospischeprom told.
Beer output in plastic bottles edged down 0.1% on the year to 10.833 million decaliters.
Krinitsa beer offering in glass bottles fell 32.8% to 1.911 million decaliters, in kegs went down 0.9% to 524,000 decaliters and in cans went down 1.9% to 309,000 decaliters.
The brewery’s share in Belarus’ beer output dropped 2.7 percentage points in 2008 to 38.4%.
Sales totaled 13.031 million decaliters of beer in 2008.
Krinitsa was founded in January 2001. OAO Polotsk Beer and Nesvizh soft drinks plant have been incorporated by OAO Krinitsa and operate as subsidiaries.
