OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2009. The head of the Corporate Sales Department in ROSNO’s Siberian Directorate Mr. Dmitry Terentyev took part in the roundtable discussion "New developments in the construction business legislation. Establishment and operation of a self-regulated organization. Trends and prospects", reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The roundtable discussion was organized by the RF Accounts Chamber, the Association of Builders and Investors of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region, and the non-governmental organization "Russian Union of Taxpayers". Its purpose was to prepare construction companies to the new system of control over their operations.

During the event, the participants discussed in detail the problems resulting from enactment of the Law No 148-FZ on introduction of self-regulation in the construction industry, and touched upon the specifics of the transition period. The audience spoke of the measures taken to establish SROs for the construction industry in the Novosibirsk Region, including methods of control and supervision thereof, licensing and self-regulation of this industry.

In his speech, Mr. Dmitry Terentyev, head of the Corporate Sales Department in ROSNO’s Siberian Directorate, reminded about the altered financial preconditions for admittance to the SRO. "The law contemplates reduction of contribution to the compensation fund from 1 million roubles to 300 thousand roubles, provided that the respective construction company insures its professional liability", he said. Mr. Dmitry Terentyev also drew attention of the roundtable participants to the importance of discussing the problem issues in insurance coverage of builders’ and designers’ professional liability, since the opinion of potential insurants means much for detailed development of insurance products in this category.
