OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 January 2009 was announced, that Gubakha Coke (Perm Territory), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has reported its operating results for December and 2008.

In the reporting month, Gubakha Coke achieved bulk coke production of 18 thousand tonnes (the December plan, adjusted on the basis of the market situation, was implemented 100%) and processed 4.1 thousand tonnes of coal pitch, or 138.5% of the planned figure (which is 0.7 thousand tonnes less compared with the equivalent period in 2007).

In 2008, Gubakha Coke manufactured and shipped to customers 484.2 thousand tonnes of bulk coke and processed 59.9 thousand tonnes of coal pitch, which exceeded the results achieved in 2007 by 9.8% and 16.5% respectively.

The qualitative parameters of bulk coke were high throughout the year; the average annual mechanical strength index of coke M25 was 87%, which exceeds the average annual figure of 2007.
