OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 January 2009 Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (CMW, Perm Territory), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), reported its operating results for December 2008 and the 12 months of 2008.

Chusovoy Metallurgical Works’s output of finished rolled products was 9.4 thousand tonnes in December 2008. Its output of rolled products reached 380.8 thousand tonnes from the beginning of 2008, or 68.5 thousand tonnes less than in the equivalent period in 2007 (449.3 thousand tonnes).

Steel production was 13.6 thousand tonnes in December 2008. In total, Chusovoy Metallurgical Works made 464.0 thousand tonnes of steel from the beginning of 2008, which is 51.1 thousand tonnes less compared with the corresponding period in 2007 (515.1 thousand tonnes).
