OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2009. Parallel Company, a big petroleum product operator in the Eastern Region, intends to continue its active charitable activity despite the overall crisis that has shaken the country, reported the press-centre of Parallel Company.

In 2009 the company will keep sponsoring Donetsk Municipal Children's non-governmental organization Club DZI-RI. Every month Parallel Company will provide fuel to Donetsk Regional Children's Home and Orphanage, which hosts 200 orphans and disabled children.

Also Parallel plans to deliver fuel to Home for Elderly People at Svyato-Pokrovsky Temple every month. It hosts different groups of disabled people who have no means of support. Besides, this year Parallel is going on supporting social projects of the International Student and Young Specialist Association from AIESEC that has been successfully cooperating with Parallel for more than a year.

"As a rule, during the economic recession much less funds are allocated out of the state budget to support social projects. Therefore active participation of business structures becomes really important. Parallel is interested in the harmonious development of the Ukrainian society and is ready to continue its charitable activity even at this time of downturn", said Director of the Company Dmitriy Kulik.
