OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2009. The State Agency for Rural Credits (under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan) has announced a grant contest program.

The Agency reports that the program goal is support of introduction of new technologies and mechanisms and creation of stable ties between associations and groups, farmers and afro-producers and rural business.

The contest was announced on areas as follows:

Improvement of production quality and standards; storage and primary processing of output; distribution of new products on sorts and types; reduction of losses after collection of farm products; marketing of farm products; packing of products; the best business experience and business management.

The above-listed spheres are not final and proposals for other possible areas will be taken into account.

The draft proposals should conform to the following requirements: the offered project should be finished for two years and finances stipulated for its realization should range USD 10,000 up to maximum USD 30,000.

The proposal packages will be accepted till 5:00 pm on 13 March 2009 at the address 40, Uzeir Hajibeyov, Baku; Government House, Floor 8.
