OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2009. The State Property Management Committee of Azerbaijan has conducted an extended session dedicated to work done in 2008 and targets for 2009.

Kerem Hasano, the SPMC chairman, said that last year it was privatized some 1,800 small-size enterprises and sites and established 10 joint stock companies at the market of medium- and large-size state organizations.

“For privatization of JSCs it was organized around 60 competitions within which it was privatized close to 125 JSCs. It was also privatized roughly 800 land plots and issued nearly 2,700 technical passports,” Hasanov said.

In 2008 around 1,000 state-run real estate sites were given in rent.
