OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2009. Baltic International Bank offers you to attend the International Competition of Young Singers of Popular Music “New Wave 2009” which will take place in Jurmala from 28 July to 2 August, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.

Annual international contest of young singers of popular music “New Wave” has been held since 2002.  Traditionally, the contest tooks place in Jurmala’s concert hall “Dzintari” at the end of July.

Within the contest, concerts and evenings with Russian and invited foreign stars take place. Previous contests were marked with performances of Toto Cutugno, Lou Bega, Patricia Kaas, In-Grid, Thomas Anders, Chris de Burgh, Michael Bolton, Stevie Wonder, Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Robin Gibb, Joe Cocker, Al Jarreau, Montserrat Caballe, Elena Obraztsova and many others.
