OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 January 2009 was announced, that Khartsyzsk Tube Works < HRTR UZ UR > increased production in December by 3.4% m/m to 52,660tn, reported Metinvest Holding, the managing company of HRTR. HRTR reduced tube production in 2008 by 23.8% y/y.

If the production dynamic at the beginning of the year was the same to end of the year, Khartsyzsk tube producers will finish the year with results not worse than for 2007. But a failed 1H2008, when the company practically stopped production, has distorted y/y figures despite existing contracts for at least 6 months output.
