OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2009. As it was informed in the Ministry of Finance, in January-December 2008, basic payments amounted to US38,7 million and repayment of interests on the foreign loans- US 15,2 million.

Thus all payments planned were made. In 2007 Moldova distributed US 53,2 million for repayment of the foreign state debt. US 36,9 million were distributed for repayment of the basic debt and US 16,3 million- for repayment of interests on the foreign loans.

It is planned that in 2009 Moldova will distribute US 75 million or 1% of the country’s GDP for the external debt service. According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2009 basic payments will make US 52,9 million, including US 52,1 million –direct debt and US 0,8 million-guaranteed debt.

Expenditure on the external debt service will make US 22,1 million, including - US 21,8 million-direct debt and US 0,3 million-guaranteed debt.
