OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2009. The new Law №448-3 “About the introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “About the free economic zones” has been adopted recently, reported the press-centre of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”.

The aims of the Law are: - creation of favorable conditions for the further development of the regions of the Republic of Belarus; - attraction of foreign investments; - creation of new jobs; - introduction of new technologies.

The Law enables effective legal regulation of the activity of the free economic zones, improvement of the legal base, provision for comfortable conditions of investment activity.

The new Law includes an article about the guarantees for investors and protection of investments taking into account international treaties.
