OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2009. Megabank made a 2008 year-end balance of its efforts to attract local/municipal authorities to place their temporarily inactive budgets on its deposit accounts, reported the press-centre of Megabank.

Within 2008, Megabank bid over 80 tenders for servicing banks to maintain temporarily inactive budget facilities. Following the outcome of such tenders, over UAH 90 m were placed on time deposits with Megabank.

In 2008, Megabank's deposit base from municipalities was doubled (from previous 90 to 170 budgets served).

Andriy Onopko, Megabank's Head of Department of Banking reported: "In 2008 Megabank's corporate deposit portfolio exceeded UAH 450 m for the first time ever. We owe our success to our flexible approach toward serving time facilities. With our extensive expertise in serving [temporary inactive] budget funds almost in every region, we count for an early withdrawal which may emerge due to the holder's demand for such facilities, as well we offer the holder to credit new budget funds available into the deposit account for an additional yield. Catering for the specific needs of every budget alone, we offer best deposit terms for temporarily inactive budget funds depending on the amount, deposit period and type of placement".
