Largest Share in Moldavian Export Belong to Textile
OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2009. In January-November 2008, the largest share in total amount of Moldavian export belong to textile and textile products- 19,5% totaling US287,7 million. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, it is 15% more than in January-November 2007.
Then follows: foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco - 19.4% for US 286.9 million (+15.1%), products of vegetable origin - 12.3% for US 182.4 million (+24.1%), machinery and equipment, electric, audio-video equipment - 10.9% for US 161.1 million (2 times more), non-precious metals and metal products - 7.9% for \\$ 117.4 million (+15.8%), mineral goods - 4.2% for US 62.6 million (16.1%), fats and oils of animal and vegetal origin - 3.9% for \\$ 57.8 million (16.5%), stone, plaster, cement, ceramics and glass - 3.4% for \\$ 50.1 million (+4.4%), footwear , headgear, umbrellas - 3% for US 44.8 million (21.9%), products from plastic and rubber - 2,4% for US 36 million (+17%), chemical goods- 2, 1% for \\$ 31.7 million (28.3%), raw and tanned leather, fur - 2.1% for US 31.5 million (18.2%).
These 12 product groups accounted for 91.1% of the total export from Moldova. In January-November 2008, total export from Moldova amounted to \\$ 1 billion 477.1 million (+21.6%).
