OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 January 2009 was announced, that demolition of 5-storey residential buildings which weren’t assigned to be taken down earlier is scheduled to be started in south Moscow this year, Vladimir Resin, first deputy Mayor of Moscow at City Hall, told journalists.

“The southern district [of Moscow] has fulfilled the program aimed at demolishing 5-storey houses within the series set to be taken down and it is ready for the program aimed at demolishing 5-storey houses which weren’t to be taken down before. These residential buildings will start being demolished this year,” the official noted.

According to Mr Resin, City Hall is to consider this issue approximately in March 2009.
