OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2009. The Ukrpost plans to build four distributing centres which are to operate on advanced technologies and to embrace all the territory of Ukraine, - in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv and Mykolayiv. General director of the Ukrpost Taisiya Zamkova announced.

“For now the topmost issue is to complete building in Dnipropetrovsk, as this distributing centre will engulf the largest regions of the eastern Ukraine and in Lviv where it would encompass all the western part of the state,” General director of the Ukrpost emphasized.

Elaborating of the project of distributing centre in Kyiv will be launched this year. The Ukrpost plans for 2009 envisage UAH 10 million for designing works. According to Taisiya Zamkova the biggest problem is to solve an issue of land plot for building of the distributing centre in the capital.

“The land for distributing centre is allotted only in Dnipropetrovsk, procedures on the land are being finalized in Lviv. Concerning Kyiv this issue remains unsolved for now,” Taisiya Zamkova said.

According to the General director of the Ukrpost, without distributing centres the Ukrainian mailing service will not be able to survive in the future.
