OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2009. In December 2008 Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant which operates under Metinvest Group produced 52.7 tons of large diameter pipes, reported the press-centre of SCM.

In December the plant continued producing 1067х15,9 mm, 1067х19,1 mm and 1067х25,4mm Х70 tubes with exterior and interior anticorrosion coating for the Kazakh Project "Central Asia - China".

Profile:
The project "Central Asia - China" is a main gas pipeline that will connect gas pipeline system of China with big deposits of natural gas in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenia.   

OAO Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant is the largest CIS producer of longitudinal electric-welded large diameter pipes of 478-1420 mm for major gas and oil pipelines. The company's facilities can produce over 1.6m tonnes of pipes a year. Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant has an integrated Quality Control System that meets ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, API Spec Q1, DSTU ISO 9001 standards. KhTZ belongs to Steel and Rolled Products Division of Metinvest Group.
