OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 January 2009 was announced, that the level of loadings on the grids of Irkutsk Grid Company ltd. from 31 December to 10 January 2009 was stable. According to the JSC Irkutskenergo press service; there were no failures in the system of Irkutsk electric power supplies and emergency switching-off of electric power supplies of socially significant objects.

The stable level of loadings was reached thanks to an absence of sharp temperature fluctuations, and also introduction of the reduced business day at the majority of the enterprises of the region on 31 December 2008. Besides, dispatching services and emergency brigades kept a closer watch over electricity within the holidays. Additional checks of electric networks and heating mains were held.
